Baseball Game Preview: McDowell Titans vs. R-S Central Hilltoppers

The McDowell Titans will challenge the R-S Central Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McDowell has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with four straight defeats, while R-S Central will come in with three straight victories.

On Monday, McDowell came up short against Erwin and fell 8-5.

McDowell saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaine Boone, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Carson Killough was another, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, R-S Central got the win against Brevard on Monday by a conclusive 7-1. Considering the Hilltoppers have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

McDowell's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for R-S Central, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.

Everything went McDowell's way against R-S Central when the teams last played back in March, as McDowell made off with a 7-1 victory. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Hilltoppers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
