Springfield Southeast hasn't had much luck against Springfield recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Springfield Southeast Spartans will challenge the Springfield Senators at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Springfield Southeast will head into Wednesday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 34) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Sacred Heart-Griffin 41-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted since December 16, 2024.

Meanwhile, Springfield came tearing into Wednesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Lions to the tune of 70-20. The Senators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Springfield has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Springfield Southeast, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.
