Basketball Recap: Brookfield Comes Up Short

Brookfield was the 54-18 winner over Putnam County when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Brookfield Bulldogs took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Putnam County Midgets. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly five points.

Brookfield has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Putnam County, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-9.

Brookfield has already played their next contest (against Novinger), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Putnam County will face off against Atlanta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Putnam County is facing Atlanta at the right time seeing as Atlanta is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
