Syracuse was the 2-0 winner over Lourdes Central Catholic when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rockets fell 2-0 to the Knights on Thursday. The Rockets' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Syracuse had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18.

Syracuse's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Syracuse will face off against Lincoln Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, they will square off against Lewiston at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
