Basketball Game Preview: Brooks Lions vs. Lauderdale County Tigers

Brooks hasn't had much luck against Lauderdale County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Brooks Lions challenge the Lauderdale County Tigers at 7:00 p.m.

Brooks is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game on Friday. They were beaten by Wilson 59-24. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 368th, while the Warriors are ranked 109th).

Meanwhile, Lauderdale County came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32 points) and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Falcons 61-58.

Brooks' loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Lauderdale County, their victory bumped their record up to 19-1.

Brooks was taken down by Lauderdale County 83-20 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Brooks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
