Volleyball Game Preview: Port Huron Northern Huskies vs. Anchor Bay Tars

The Port Huron Northern Huskies are taking a road trip to challenge the Anchor Bay Tars at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Anchor Bay took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Port Huron Northern, who comes in off a win.

Port Huron Northern will bounce into Monday's match after beating Croswell-Lexington, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Huskies came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Port Huron Northern not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Croswell-Lexington between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Anchor Bay lost 3-0 to Dakota last Thursday. The Tars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Port Huron Northern's win bumped their record up to 31-9-1. As for Anchor Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-22-1.

Port Huron Northern couldn't quite get it done against Anchor Bay in their previous matchup back in August of 2017 as they fell 2-0. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
