Baseball Game Preview: MMI Preparatory School vs. Weatherly

MMI Preparatory School will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Weatherly at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

MMI Preparatory School fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Marian Catholic on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Marian Catholic by a score of 8-7. MMI Preparatory School has struggled against Marian Catholic recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Nick Pantages was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

Meanwhile, Weatherly fell victim to Marian Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against Marian Catholic, falling 15-0. Weatherly has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

MMI Preparatory School now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Weatherly, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went MMI Preparatory School's way against Weatherly in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as MMI Preparatory School made off with a 16-0 win. Will MMI Preparatory School repeat their success, or does Weatherly has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
