Basketball Recap: Dodd City Comes Up Short

Dodd City lost against Van Alstyne back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dodd City Hornets took a hard 53-36 fall against the Van Alstyne Panthers. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dodd City now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Van Alstyne, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dodd City will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Era at 1:00 p.m. on December 31st. Van Alstyne and Honey Grove will round out the year against one another at at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.
