            Softball Recap: Sneads Pirates vs. Malone Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            While Sneads's  victory against Malone wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates won by a  run and slipped past the Tigers  4-3. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  win against them.

 Naryah Dudley made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out nine batters over  6.2 innings while giving up  three earned runs off   eight  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in February. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  double. She also put up an  RBI, which was her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Kaliyah Robinson was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with four  stolen bases and one  RBI.  Reagan Tyus also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
Sneads' victory bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Malone,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-9.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sneads will venture away from home to  face off against Marianna  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.71  runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Malone, they are taking a road trip to  challenge Chipley  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Malone's pitchers better be ready for this one: Chipley has averaged an impressive 10.2  runs per game this season.
