Softball Game Preview: Crockett Cougars vs. United Longhorns

The Crockett Cougars will head out to square off against the United Longhorns at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, everything went Crockett's way against Cedar Creek as Crockett made off with an 18-1 win.

The team relied heavily on Adola Moore, who fired off two triples, three runs, and three RBI while going 4-for-4. Kaitlyn Vasquez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Crockett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cedar Creek only posted an OBP of .214.

Meanwhile, neither United nor Zapata could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 6-6 draw.

Crockett beat United 6-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Does Crockett have another victory up their sleeve, or will United turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
