Football Game Preview: Rancho Mirage Rattlers vs. Shadow Hills Knights + How To Watch

Rancho Mirage is 8-2 against Shadow Hills since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Rancho Mirage took a loss when they played away from home on September 11th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They managed a 35-29 victory over Jurupa Hills.

Rancho Mirage's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julian Hernandez, who threw for 241 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown. Those 241 passing yards gave Hernandez a new career-high. Rancho Mirage's leading receiver Jeremiah Johnson was Hernandez's top target yet again, picking up 138 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Shadow Hills was just a hair shy of victory last Friday and fell 52-51 to Patriot. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on September 12th (44), the Knights still had to take the loss.

Rancho Mirage will have to contain Jesse Rodriguez as he made an impact in Shadow Hills' last game. He threw for 247 yards and six TDs while completing 76.5% of his passes. Thanks to that big game, Rodriguez is now up to 16 passing touchdowns on the season. Shaheem Sama was Rodriguez's top target, picking up 85 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Rancho Mirage now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Shadow Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Rancho Mirage has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 193 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Shadow Hills, though, as they've been averaging only 92.4 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
