Basketball Recap: Northwest Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Northwest hadn't done well against Kapaun Mt. Carmel recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Northwest Grizzlies secured a 45-41 W over the Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders. The 45-point effort marked the Grizzlies' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Northwest got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dj Brown out in front who posted 13 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was River Peters, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rocco Keller, who went 9 of 14 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. As for Kapaun Mt. Carmel, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
