Soccer Recap: Greene Central Takes a Loss

Greene Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to the North Pitt Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against North Pitt this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on April 1st.

Greene Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-16-1. As for North Pitt, their win bumped their record up to 8-3-3.

Greene Central will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Craven at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. Greene Central will be up against West Craven's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.67 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Pitt, they have already played their next matchup, a 5-0 victory against SouthWest Edgecombe on the 22nd.
