Baseball Recap: Artesia Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Artesia had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They never let the Lovington Wildcats get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Artesia pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Lovington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
