Softball Recap: Hokes Bluff Comes Up Short

Hokes Bluff lost against Oxford back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hokes Bluff lost 8-1 to Oxford. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hokes Bluff saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenna Bennich, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Hokes Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Oxford, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Hokes Bluff didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-0 loss against Mortimer Jordan on the 29th. As for Oxford, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-7 defeat against Saraland on the 28th.
