The Rolesville Rams will take on the Millbrook Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Rolesville took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 15-11 win over Farmville Central. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Rams' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The team relied heavily on Jordan Wiggins, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Austin Leicht, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Millbrook never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against Heritage as Millbrook made off with an 11-0 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.
Connor Wright was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Jack Strom and Finn Clougherty did most of the damage at the plate: Strom scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Clougherty scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Clougherty is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Jake Schoch was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Millbrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Heritage only posted an OBP of .280.
The win snapped Rolesville's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-7 record. As for Millbrook, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Rolesville skirted past Millbrook 7-5 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Does Rolesville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Millbrook turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
