It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Grove ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the Miami Wardogs by a score of 9-6. The Ridgerunners haven't had any issues with the Wardogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Grove's record is now 7-1. As for Miami, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grove will welcome Jay at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Miami, they will host Vinita at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wardogs are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
