Football Recap: Brayden Dixon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mcintosh over Leroy

If McIntosh was riding high fresh off their 47-0 takedown of Bayshore Christian last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Demons lost to the Leroy Bears at home by a 40-26 margin on Friday. The Demons haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Several Demons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brayden Dixon, who threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns. McIntosh's leading receiver Joshua Harris was Dixon's top target yet again, picking up 144 receiving yards and one TD.

McIntosh's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Leroy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

McIntosh wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 28-14 loss against Southern Choctaw on the 12th. As for Leroy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 40-13 win against Sweet Water on the 12th.
