Volleyball Recap: Willowbrook Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Willowbrook won the last time they faced Crete-Monee and things went their way on Saturday too. Willowbrook walked away with a 2-0 victory over Crete-Monee. The win was some much needed relief for Willowbrook as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Among those leading the charge was Melanie Marinier, who had nine assists and two aces.

Marinier wasn't the only good servers: Willowbrook was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crete-Monee only served seven.

Willowbrook's record now sits at 18-14. As for Crete-Monee, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-16.

Willowbrook didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Marian Catholic on the 18th. As for Crete-Monee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Lincoln Park on the 18th.
