Softball Recap: East Union Wins Going Away Against Sebastopol

East Union had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Sebastopol Bobcats on Friday. The Urchins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 contests by six runs or more this season.

Lucy Cochran made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Cochran was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, East Union got a big performance out of Adison Russell, who went 3-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits Russell has posted since back in March. Marley Clayton was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

East Union kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.

East Union's record now sits at 28-3. As for Sebastopol, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 27-7.

As of now, neither East Union nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
