Softball Recap: Tyngsborough's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

Tyngsborough has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 2.88 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 13-6 to the Tewksbury Memorial Redmen. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

Devyn Amico made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tyngsborough fell to 6-1-1. As for Tewksbury Memorial, the win (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Tyngsborough will challenge Oakmont Regional at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tewksbury Memorial, they are taking a road trip to face off against Central Catholic at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
