For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when McGill-Toolen and UMS-Wright Prep meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets came up short against the UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs, falling 13-2. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
McGill-Toolen saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Nabors, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Jaleah Moore also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Even though they lost, McGill-Toolen hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in four consecutive matches.
