Softball Game Preview: Flathead Braves/Bravettes vs. Great Falls Bison

Flathead hasn't had much luck against Great Falls recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Braves/Bravettes will face off against the Bison at 12:00 p.m. Flathead has given up an average of 10.6 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Flathead is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs last Thursday, they were much more limited against Glacier on Thursday. They lost 15-1 to the Wolfpack.

Kinsey Lake made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Meanwhile, Great Falls faced Gallatin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bison fell just short of the Raptors by a score of 6-5. The Bison's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Great Falls saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Kuszmaul, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Flathead's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Great Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Flathead came up short against Great Falls in their previous matchup back in March, falling 11-8. Can the Braves/Bravettes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
