Basketball Game Preview: Westbrook Blue Blazes vs. Deering Rams

The Westbrook Blue Blazes will challenge the Deering Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westbrook is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Westbrook lost to Gorham on the road by a 48-32 margin.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Hattie Clark, who posted eight points and seven boards. Those seven rebounds gave her a new career-high. Lyla Dunphe was another key player, putting up six points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Deering came up short against Kennebunk on Saturday and fell 45-36.

Westbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Deering, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Westbrook strolled past Deering in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 42-25. Does Westbrook have another victory up their sleeve, or will Deering turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
