Softball Game Preview: Ardrey Kell Knights vs. Mooresville Blue Devils

The Ardrey Kell Knights will head out to take on the Mooresville Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Ardrey Kell's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Olympic. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Ardrey Kell let Cameron Hightower and Reagan Martin run wild. Hightower went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Martin went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Katie Schneider also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Ardrey Kell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .826. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Mooresville waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 16-1 win.

Ardrey Kell's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Mooresville, their record is now 12-8.

Ardrey Kell came up short against Mooresville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 7-3. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
