Having just played yesterday, the Brewer Patriots will jump right back in to play the Athens Golden Eagles at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Brewer focused on turnovers this week as the team gave up 21 on Monday.

Having struggled with six losses in a row dating back to last season, Brewer finally turned things around against Oneonta on Monday. They walked away with a 32-25 win over the Redskins.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brewer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hannah Morrison, who had three points plus ten rebounds and five blocks. Morrison has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Lauryn Owen was another key player, earning four points.

Brewer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Athens put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Columbia 51-37. While the Golden Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Athens' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Brewer, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
