Basketball Recap: Boulder City Eagles vs. Sports Leadership & Management Bulls
The Boulder City Eagles entered their tilt with the Sports Leadership & Management Bulls with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Boulder City made off with a 53-52 victory over the Bulls. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Boulder City also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Boulder City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Roman Rose out in front who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luke Wright, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Sports Leadership & Management lost on Monday, one person who can't be blamed is Andre Cade. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Cade is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Noah Tomlin was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Boulder City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boulder City will face off against the Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Doral Academy Red Rock: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Eagles have snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will take on the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
