Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Beats Providence Classical Christian Academy for Their Seventh Straight Win + How To Watch

Liberty Christian Academy strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Providence Classical Christian Academy Panthers 76-33. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 43 points or more this season.

Liberty Christian Academy was led to victory by Phoenix Obermann and Willy Mueller. Obermann went 9-for-15 en route to 22 points along with five assists and five steals, while Mueller dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. Obermann's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Tucker Wainscott was another key player, shooting 55% from the field on his way to 12 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Liberty Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Providence Classical Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Walker Hill went 6-for-10 to rack up 14 points. Hill also set a new season-high mark in field goal percentage with 60%. William Harmon also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Liberty Christian Academy's record now sits at 4-0. As for Providence Classical Christian Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coming up, Liberty Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge Wellsville-Middletown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Providence Classical Christian Academy, they will host Rivers of Life Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
