Basketball Preview: Denver Christian Thunder vs. Front Range Christian Falcons
Denver Christian is 9-1 against the Falcons since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Denver Christian Thunder will head out on the road to challenge the Front Range Christian Falcons at 1:00 p.m. Hopefully Denver Christian is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Falcons in Colorado (the Thunder are ranked 87th, while the Falcons are ranked 325th).
In what's become a running theme this season, Denver Christian gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Clear Creek 86-47 on the road. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Denver Christian had established a 25 point advantage.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Front Range Christian, who are still winless after their 12th matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 70-18 loss at the hands of SkyView Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Front Range Christian in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now lost four in a row.
Denver Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Front Range Christian, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-12.
Denver Christian strolled past the Falcons when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 67-53. Does Denver Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
