Swansboro won the last time they faced Lejeune and things went their way on Friday too. The Pirates simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Devilpups 75-44. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Swansboro got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor May out in front who went 11-for-16 to rack up 24 points. Another player making a difference was JJ Johnson, who made all 6 shots he took to post 13 points and five steals.

Despite the loss, Lejeune saw an underclassman step up: freshman Maurice Thomas posted 22 points.

Swansboro's record now sits at 2-0. As for Lejeune, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Swansboro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-64 win against White Oak on the 25th. As for Lejeune, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-59 loss against Lakewood on the 3rd.
