Volleyball Recap: Melrose-Mindoro Gets the Win

Melrose-Mindoro won the last time they faced Independence/Gilmanton and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Indees 2-1.

Bella Rozek paced Melrose-Mindoro's offense, picking up 13 kills. Rozek got some help from Abby Heimdahl and her seven assists. Rozek was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Melrose-Mindoro's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Independence/Gilmanton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Melrose-Mindoro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Blair-Taylor on the 6th. As for Independence/Gilmanton, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Nekoosa on the 6th.
