Recap: Louise Hornets vs. Ganado Indians

The Louise Hornets fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Ganado Indians on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 40-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. Louise just can't catch a break and has now endured four losses in a row.

Louise's loss came despite strong showings from Monica Montes and Madison Grant. Montes scored 8 points along with 10 rebounds, while Grant scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Grant is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played.

Even though they lost, Louise were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ganado only pulled down 32.

Ganado was led to victory by Zoey Ybarra and Isabel Tristan. Ybarra scored 15 points along with 8 steals and 5 rebounds, while Tristan dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. The game was Ybarra's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Michaela Estrada was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 7 rebounds.

Louise has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Ganado, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-7.

Louise's road trip will continue as they head out to face Navasota at 2:00 p.m. on December 7th. As for Ganado, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Three Rivers at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th.
