Baseball Recap: Lone Tree Comes Up Short

Lone Tree's last matchup with Sigourney could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Lions came up short against the Savages, falling 23-2. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 6-4 to the Savages when the teams met back in July of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lone Tree has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Sigourney, their win bumped their record up to 22-3.

Lone Tree does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sigourney, they will face off against Hillcrest Academy on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Savages 3.2, the Ravens 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
