Soccer Recap: George Stevens Academy Comes Up Short

George Stevens Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Orono Riots. While losing is never fun, George Stevens Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Orono are ranked 21st).

George Stevens Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for Orono, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0-1.

As of now, neither George Stevens Academy nor the Riots have any future games scheduled.
