Basketball Recap: Lathrop Falls Despite Big Games from DJ Reyno and Nicolas Arceo

Lathrop lost against Central Valley back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lathrop Spartans fell 50-37 to the Central Valley Hawks.

Lathrop's loss came despite strong showings from Nicolas Arceo and DJ Reyno. Arceo posted seven points and three steals, while Reyno put up three points and four steals. Arceo has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Karambir Bisla was another key player, putting up eight points.

Jace Mclennon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Central Valley, earning 19 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Andre Flores, who scored seven points and nine rebounds.

Lathrop has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season. As for Central Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-12 record this season.

Lathrop wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-58 loss against Beyer on the 14th. As for Central Valley, they have also already played their next match, a 58-52 victory against Ceres on the 14th.
