Baseball Recap: Highland Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

On Tuesday Highland's undefeated season almost came to an end. They skirted past the Westside Warriors 12-10. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Rebels, who until this matchup were averaging 3.2 runs allowed.

Hayden Hyslip was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. James Jensen was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his seven plate appearances.

Hyslip wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Highland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Highland's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9 runs. As for Westside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Highland will have a chance to go back-to-back against Westside: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:12 a.m. on Thursday.
