Basketball Recap: Centre Comes Up Short

Centre lost against Rural Vista [Hope/White City] back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars came up short against the Heat, falling 65-40. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rural Vista [Hope/White City] to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Brockmeier, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 14 points. Those 14 points gave Brockmeier a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kole Riedy, who posted six points and 12 boards.

Centre now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Rural Vista [Hope/White City], they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Centre has already played their next game, a 48-32 win against Herington on the 13th. As for Rural Vista [Hope/White City], they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-37 victory against Council Grove on the 13th.
