Volleyball Recap: Maxwell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Maxwell and Weed squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Maxwell had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Cougars.

While Maxwell had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 20-25, 25-23, 25-21.

Leading Weed to victory were Audrey Mayberry and Judith Atondo. Mayberry had 17 assists and six digs, while Atondo had ten digs. That's the most assists Mayberry has posted since back in September.

Maxwell's defeat dropped their record down to 15-15. As for Weed, their victory bumped their record up to 18-12.

Maxwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Weed, they will take on Etna at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
