Flag Football Game Preview: Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets vs. Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals

The Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets are taking a road trip to square off against the Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sacred Heart of Jesus has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 5.

Sacred Heart of Jesus' offense might be in the hot seat on Tuesday considering what happened against Westridge on Monday. They were dealt a 45-0 loss at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 730th, while the Tigers are ranked 294th).

Meanwhile, Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary also failed to score in their most recent game. They were beaten by Bishop Amat 65-0 on Wednesday.

Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Sacred Heart of Jesus, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Sacred Heart of Jesus strolled past Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 25-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
