Volleyball Recap: Winneconne Beats Denmark for Their Third Straight Victory

Winneconne waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Denmark Vikings by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Winneconne won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-11.

Neela Gardner paced Winneconne's offense, picking up 12 kills. Gardner got some help from Bailey Church and her 12 assists. Malia Bodoh controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Winneconne's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Denmark, they dropped their record down to 2-1 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winneconne will host Seymour at 7:00 p.m. on the 4th. As for Denmark, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on the 4th. The matchup will give the Vikings their first taste of in-conference action this season.
