Basketball Recap: Luverne Takes a Loss

Luverne lost against Jackson County Central back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Luverne Cardinals took a 75-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jackson County Central Huskies. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Luverne's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Jackson County Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Luverne and Jackson County Central should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Luverne will take on Worthington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday up 159 places (78 vs. 237). Meanwhile, Jackson County Central (ranked 29th) will meet Maple River (ranked 163rd) at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday.
