Basketball Recap: Hackley Takes a Loss

Hackley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 62-17 loss at the hands of the Dalton Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 73-43 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Hackley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Dalton, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hackley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fieldston at 4:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Dalton has already played their next match (against Poly Prep Country Day), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
