Softball Recap: Northeast Baptist Comes Up Short

Northeast Baptist couldn't beat Mount Olive Christian on Monday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Knights fell 11-8 to Mount Olive Christian. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Mount Olive Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-5 two weeks ago.

This is the second loss in a row for Northeast Baptist and nudges their season record down to 0-2. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 6.5 runs this season. As for Mount Olive Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Northeast Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mount Olive Christian, they are taking a road trip to take on Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
