AAA District 3 recap November 13, 2013
Campbell County extended the longest winning streak in AAA District 3 this week by beating Gibbs, 41-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Cougars.
Anderson County led the league in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on Cherokee.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Clinton's Tyler Thackerson and Drake Powell have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Thackerson has thrown for 2,724 yards this season, while Powell has 94 catches for 1,028 yards. The Mavericks' Matt Fox leads the league in rushing yards with 2,216.
Campbell County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,566 from 1,940. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 41-7 victory over the Eagles last week.
