Baseball Recap: Westbrook Wildcats vs. O'Donnell Eagles
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westbrook). Everything went their way against the O'Donnell Eagles on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-6 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-run performance the match before.
Jaxson Browne spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grayson Jeffrey was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caleb Browne, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Westbrook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The win got Westbrook back to even at 4-4. As for O'Donnell, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-4-1 record.
Coming up, Westbrook will welcome Rotan at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats are facing the Yellowhammers at the right time seeing as the Yellowhammers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for O'Donnell, they will venture away from home to square off against Borden County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
