Softball Recap: Santa Fe Comes Up Short

Santa Fe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-1 to the La Serna Lancers. The Chiefs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Santa Fe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Saryah Razo, who went 1-for-4 with one double.

Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for La Serna, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Fe will challenge California at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Condors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Chiefs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for La Serna, they will square off against El Rancho at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers will need to watch out since the Dons have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
