Baseball Recap: Isaiah Reeve Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Parlier

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chowchilla, Yosemite was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Parlier Panthers get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Badgers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Not much got past Thomas Raines, who gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Parlier off the board. Raines has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Yosemite's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Reeve, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Yosemite's win bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Parlier, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13.

Coming up, Yosemite will host Sunnyside at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Badgers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Parlier does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
