Basketball Recap: Gadsden Comes Up Short

Gadsden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a hard 59-45 fall against the Centennial Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-33 back in January.

Gadsden's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Centennial, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-14.

Looking ahead, Gadsden will take on Mayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Centennial, they will face off against Organ Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Organ Mountain will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Centennial surely won't give up without a fight.
