Basketball Recap: Oakland Takes a Loss

Oakland lost against Blackman on February 7th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Oakland Patriots took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blackman Blaze. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Blaze are ranked 33rd).

Oakland has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. Blackman pushed their record up to 19-4 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Oakland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Blackman, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-53 victory against Rockvale on the 24th.
