Soccer Game Preview: Poquoson vs. Lafayette

Poquoson hasn't had much luck against Lafayette recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Islanders will host the Rams at 7:00 p.m.

Poquoson is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They lost 5-0 to Warhill.

Meanwhile, Lafayette came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.8 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Clippers 6-1. Lafayette might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by three goals or more this season.

Lafayette pushed their record up to 6-2-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three matchups. As for Poquoson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
